About Adrianne Designs Adrianne Designs was created by me, Carey Johnson, primarily because I couldn’t find what I needed in department stores so I decided to make my own accessories. It started with the scarves– learning to knit gave me something productive to do in the winter while watching TV. Next came the necklaces and bracelets – the search for the perfect shade of hot pink jewelry proved impossible, until I went to my local bead shop and made what I needed myself. Finally, the purses. Now, I did not need a new purse – my husband can attest to that – but as I was walking down Main Street I saw the CUTEST fabric in the window. I decided then and there that I needed to learn how to make purses so I could make myself one out of that cloth. The Petit purses came about because I wanted to give my 2 year old niece Lydia a tiny pocketbook, but the only ones I could find were really fancy ones or plastic ones covered with cartoon characters. So I headed to the fabric store and discovered a wealth of adorable prints that girls and grownups alike would love. Friends and coworkers saw what I was making and began placing orders – hence the birth of my little company. Adrianne Designs creates one of a kind, handmade items that are sure to delight and evoke many compliments!
